Horsemaster's Summer Riding Program 2007
Rose Farm will host several weeks of its Horsemasters intensive summer riding program in 2007. The dates for the 5-day sessions are June 24-28, July 2-6, and July 9-13. Other sessions may be scheduled based on demand. The July sessions will be half-day sessions for young children and beginners of all ages. The first 5-day session, June 24-28, will be our day/overnight farm experience week for those who choose to stay overnight. Spaces are limited for that, so sign up soon. Dates for 1-2 day adult Horsemasters sessions are August 18-19 and August 25-26. We will offer an adult 5-day session if there is enough interest. Our head instructor will teach the adults and has 35 years experience teaching students and training horses. The youth staff has 10-12 years experience each, teaching balance seat, western, jumping, and natural horsemanship.
Youth Horsemasters will participate in aspects of running the farm, ride 1-2 times daily depending on their skill levels, view instructional videos, go trail riding and jumping on our cross-country course, create crafts, go hiking, cool off with a swim in our pool, learn John Lyons and Pat Parelli Natural Horsemanship methods, and gain a lot of experience while having a great time.
Adult Horsemasters can do all of the youth activities, and will be tailored to the specific needs of the participants. Do you want to learn how to join up a horse? Pass level 1 Parelli games? Be able to sit to the trot effortlessly? Gain confidence over jumps? Improve your dressage? Come and learn 100 new things in our 5-day sessions or test the waters with our 1-2 day sessions.
